Immersive Learning

For over two decades Music Worldwide have been delivering immersive learning workshops and education programmes for schools, further education colleges and universities, as well as combined audience workshops at festivals, conferences and other event sectors. Musical discovery and cultural encounters lies at the heart of our work.

Our workshops and curriculum-linked projects for schools aim to develop children and young people’s insights into, and engagement with, art forms and cultural traditions from around the world.

Our extensive artist network enables a huge choice of workshop styles and formats, which can, and often does, include supporting contextual materials like teacher reference packs and classroom lesson plan guides.

We deliver our workshops in all of the following settings:

  • Primary Schools (inc. Early Years/ Nursery)
  • Secondary Schools (inc. GCSE input)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Quick answers on how our education workshops run in schools, colleges, universities and at festivals.

  • What does the Education programme deliver?

Immersive, curriculum-linked music and dance workshops led by professional artists, plus assemblies, performances and teacher CPD. Styles span world percussion, voice and global dance.

  • Who are they for and how are sessions adapted?

Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • How long is a typical workshop and how many students can take part?

Common formats are 45–60 minute taster sessions, 90-minute more comprehensive sessions, half days and full days. Class sizes match school norms; larger groups can be run in rotation or as assemblies.

  • Are sessions curriculum-linked and are teacher resources included?

A clear space (hall or large classroom), basic AV if needed, and staff presence. We bring instruments where required and share any simple setup notes in advance.

All artists are DBS checked. We provide risk assessments and public liability insurance, and follow school safeguarding and health and safety policies.

  • How much does it cost and how do we book?

Fees depend on format, duration, artists and travel. Enquire via the contact tab with preferred dates, year groups and aims, and we will propose options and a quote. Limited subsidised places may be available through partners.
