Jeremy Tomasck of Djembe-awa.com joined Mamady Keïta's school in 2002, traveling to Guinea to study and collaborate with artisans, becoming a world renowned djembe maker. Mamady commissioned him to produce the MK Sig Series, distributed by Djembe-awa, now also creating the Sidiki Dembele Sig Series. 

Trained by Mamady and other masters, Jeremy toured many years as his assistant and continues to hone his crafts at Malinke festivals. He also developed his own shamanic drum-making style and offers various drum making workshops. You can find Djembe-Awa by the Sekouba Oulare Caravan or talk to them after the workshop.

Spirit Groove Drums work exclusively with traditional drum makers who have been crafting sacred, one off handmade drums for two generations in the foothills of the Himalayas.  These craftspeople source the materials locally and skilfully hand craft each one of the drums individually with the most love and care possible. 

In this deeply spiritual region, drum making is not simply a trade — it is a ceremonial art passed through family lineage, guided by respect for nature, spirit, and ancestral knowledge and a communal activity. The work is slow and conscious, following traditional processes that honour the natural rhythms of the materials and the spirit of the instrument itself. 

Wooden Roots has the finest quality, traditional West African drums and is a one stop shop for all your West African drumming needs. With a huge variety of hand carved, pre-built pieces from Guinea & Mali, they also provide bespoke drum building & customisations, building supplies & repairs.

They will have a large selection of drums (djembe & dunun) at the Summer Camp alongside djembe shells, accessories & apparel. There will be some building supplies available eg. skins, rope etc. and items can always be pre-ordered and shipped to you if not in stock. Payment plans are available and they also take cash & all major credit cards.

Arabic and Middle East percussion tutor Chas Whitaker, along with Michelle Pender will be setting up shop, where you can browse through a range of exotic Arabic dance clothing, accessories and apparell, to selecting one of Chas's finest Darabuka's, Daff, Zills, or other Arabic instruments on sale.

Chas will also be running workshops over the weekend, so you can be assured that when purchasing one of these fine and beautiful drums, or handheld percussion instruments, your buying from an expert who will be only too happy to share his knowledge and advice with you.

Hit the Dhol is a specialist instrument trader at Drum Camp, offering a carefully selected range of authentic Indian percussion instruments and accessories for players of all levels. From powerful Punjabi dhols that deliver the unmistakable sound of bhangra to versatile dholaks used in folk, devotional, and contemporary music, Hit the Dhol provides quality instruments sourced with both performance and durability in mind. 

In addition to drums, Hit the Dhol stocks a wide selection of essential accessories, including beaters, protective bags, straps, tuning equipment, and replacement parts. 

Ben Lawrence has run his Ghana Goods stall for as long as we can remember. Here you will find a massive range of tradtional Ghanaian drums, shakers, bells, talking drums and of course Xylophones, which come in all sizes.

In addition Ghana Goods sell a number of handmade artisan products such as baskets, hats and other trinkets and goodies. Ben will be running Xylophone workshops over the weekend too - a must to attend.

Visiting this emporium is like stepping into a museum or some amazing brick-brack shop - but with a difference. Run by veteran Kit drummer and avid percussion collector, Les Chappell, you will find all manner of percussion from Ghanaian ceremonial drums, to bongos, shakers and clay pot drums. Amongst all of this there are beautiful carvings, ornamental objects and furniture. Well worth an explore!

Lalita and her playmates work up the dreamiest designs with tailors in Rajasthan India to bring you a series of one off wonders, each for a different scene of play. Blending her mixed heritage into each contemporary design. She seeks antique recycled sari fabrics as her treasure and champions the revival of traditional hand crafted textile printing techniques known as Block Print.

She creates shape for contemporary audiences whilst honouring tradition and craft. Her mission is to inspire more kindness, community and sustainability into the hands of all who cross her path. Lalita is an emerging independent designer and curators of slow fashion. Spreading fresh, vibrant colour palettes, hypnotic pattern and 100% positive vibes across the globe.

Malika's Shop has teamed up with Take Flight to bring a stall full of traditional artisan products from Africa and other parts of the world.  Fair Trade items include; Ali Baba Baskets, Tin ornaments and Toys, beads and jewellery, Mali cloth designs and throws, clothing, basketware, rainsticks and shakers and much more.

Something in this shop for everyone's budget, so do take time to browse around and snap up a unique item from Mali, Senegal and beyond.

Amazing handcrafted and bespoke jewellery is amongst many items you will find at the Baobab Boutique. Led by top Silversmith Rosie Colvin, three very talented craftspeople will be joining forces to display their bespoke crafts and wares.

If you are looking for something that little bit extra special, then you will probably find it at this stall. Silverware items are crafted with natural resources such as fossils, pebbles and seaglass. There are also ranges of jewellery made using cowrie shells, stones and textures.

Amnesty International will be present at this year's event represented by their local Suffolk/Norfolk supporter group based in Diss. Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 10 million people in over 150 countries and territories who campaign to end abuses of human rights.

Through Amnesty's detailed research and determined campaigning, they help fight abuses of human rights worldwide. Amnesty International bring torturers to justice. Change oppressive laws. And free people jailed just for voicing their opinion.

The Diss Group's stall will be selling a wide variety of second hand books to raise money for Amnesty International and will have information about their current campaigns.

Lovely and affordable hand-crafted jewellery and beadwork created by local artisans. Bee-Beautiful donate 10% of proceeds to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, of which they are a benefactor. So check them out and at the same time help our little bees who are so important to our countryside and gardens.
